The Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the AIIMS Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) 2025 follows the pattern below:
1. Duration:
- Total time: 90 minutes.
2. Total Questions:
- 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
3. Total Marks:
- 400 marks.
4. Question Distribution:
- General Knowledge & Aptitude, Knowledge of Computers: 25 questions.
- Domain-Specific Knowledge: 75 questions.
5. Marking Scheme:
- Correct Answer: +4 marks.
- Wrong Answer: -1 mark (negative marking).
- Unanswered Question: 0 marks.
6. Question Paper Language:
- Posts requiring qualifications of 10th/12th standard: Bilingual (English and Hindi).
- Posts requiring technical knowledge or higher education: English only.
7. Section Timing:
- The test is divided into 5 sections, each lasting 18 minutes.
- Once a section ends, it cannot be revisited.
8. Qualifying Marks:
- General/EWS: 40%.
- OBC: 35%.
- SC/ST: 30%.
- PwBD (All Categories): 30%.
9. Tie-Breaking Criteria:
If two or more candidates score the same marks, the following order is used to resolve ties:
- Higher marks in the domain-specific section.
- Higher marks in the general knowledge section.
- Fewer wrong answers.
- Older age of the candidate.
