2. Course Content
The curriculum covers:
- Radiation physics and applied mathematics
- Principles of radiation detection, measurement, dosimetry, and standardization
- Radiation biology and applications in various fields (medicine, industry, agriculture, research)
- Physics of radiotherapy and medical imaging
- Transportation of radioactive materials, radiation safety, regulatory aspects, hazard evaluation and control
- Management of radiation emergencies
Practical and field training spans ten weeks:
- Six weeks at BARC
- Two weeks each at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) and Radiation Medicine Centre (RMC), Mumbai
3. Eligibility Criteria : BARC Jobs 2024
- Academic: M.Sc. (Physics) with at least 60% marks, and B.Sc. (Physics) with at least 60% marks. Candidates with integrated M.Sc. (Physics) meeting the same mark requirement are also eligible.
- Sponsored Candidates: Must have at least one year of experience in a Radiotherapy Department of a Government Institution in India, with proof of personal monitoring service.
- Final Year Candidates: Those awaiting final results can apply but must meet the 60% aggregate mark requirement.

- OBC: 29 years
- SC/ST: 31 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Up to 10 years additional relaxation

8. Bond and Certification : BARC DipRP Recruitment 2024
- Non-sponsored candidates must sign a bond to complete the course, refunding the stipend if they discontinue.
- On completion, candidates receive a Post-M.Sc. Diploma in Radiological Physics.
- Must complete a one-year medical physics internship at an AERB-recognized radiotherapy center.
