2. Course Content

The curriculum covers:

• Radiation physics and applied mathematics
• Principles of radiation detection, measurement, dosimetry, and standardization
• Radiation biology and applications in various fields (medicine, industry, agriculture, research)
• Physics of radiotherapy and medical imaging
• Transportation of radioactive materials, radiation safety, regulatory aspects, hazard evaluation and control
• Management of radiation emergencies

Practical and field training spans ten weeks:

• Six weeks at BARC
• Two weeks each at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) and Radiation Medicine Centre (RMC), Mumbai

• Sponsored Candidates: Must have at least one year of experience in a Radiotherapy Department of a Government Institution in India, with proof of personal monitoring service.
• Final Year Candidates: Those awaiting final results can apply but must meet the 60% aggregate mark requirement.

• SC/ST: 31 years
