The selection process consists of two stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) – Written Examination
- Proficiency Test – Computer Typing Test
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) – Written Examination

- Paper-II marks will determine the merit ranking of candidates.
2. Proficiency Test – Computer Typing Test
- Candidates who qualify in Paper-I will be eligible for the Typing Test.
- Typing Speed Requirement:
- English: 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) OR
- Hindi: 30 words per minute (w.p.m.)
- (Equivalent to 10500 KDPH / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions per word)
- Typing Test Duration: 10 minutes
- PwBD candidates eligible for scribe will get 15 minutes.
