  • Qualification: Passed 10+2 / Intermediate / Equivalent Examination.

  • Marks: Minimum 50% in aggregate and 50% in English.
  • Recognized by: Central, State, and UT Education Boards.
• Option 2:
  • Qualification: Passed two years’ Vocational Course.
  • Subjects: Non-vocational subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Marks: Minimum 50% in aggregate and 50% in English.

Exam Pattern : IAF Airmen Group Y Jobs 2024

The written test for candidates who qualify in the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will be conducted on the same day. The test will be objective type with a bilingual question paper (English & Hindi), except for the English paper, and answers are to be marked on an OMR sheet. The procedure for the examination will be explained in detail beforehand. The test duration is 45 minutes and it consists of two sections:

1. English: 20 questions based on the 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
2. Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA): 30 questions.

Candidates must pass each section separately. The results will be announced on the same day.

Marking Pattern:

• 1 mark for each correct answer.
• 0 marks for un-attempted questions.
• 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer or if more than one option is selected.

Adaptability Test-II: Candidates who pass the written test will undertake Adaptability Test-II either on the same day or the following day, depending on local conditions. This test assesses candidates’ ability to adapt to the environment of the Indian Air Force and the military way of life.

Confidentiality Note: The question paper is a confidential document of the Indian Air Force and will only be accessible during the examination. It will not be provided to candidates in any form after the examination.

Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify in Adaptability Test-II will undergo a medical examination in July 2024 at SMC, Air Force Station Ambala.
