• Comprises two papers:

  • Objective (Multiple Answers) Type

  • Precise Writing, Comprehension, and other language skills must be in English only
• Notes:
  • Answers must be written in the medium allowed by the Commission for each component
  • Minimum qualifying marks required separately in each paper
  • Paper-II evaluation only for candidates meeting minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I

• Candidates passing the written examination undergo:

• Candidates meeting prescribed Physical Standards proceed to Physical Efficiency Tests.

Reporting for PST/PET for Female Candidates:

• Declaration of Pregnancy Status:
  • Female candidates must submit a self-declaration regarding their pregnancy status before participating in PST/PET.
  • If a candidate falsely declares she is not pregnant, she bears all risks associated with undergoing PST/PET.
  • If a candidate declares pregnancy before PST/PET, a confirmatory pregnancy test will be conducted.
• Consequences of Pregnancy:
  • If found pregnant, irrespective of duration, the candidate may be declared temporarily unfit.
  • Her appointment will be held in abeyance until confinement is over, and the vacancy will be reserved for her.
  • After six weeks post-confinement, she will undergo re-examination for PST/PET with a medical certificate of fitness.
  • If found fit, she may be appointed to the reserved post with seniority benefits as per government instructions.
• Negative Pregnancy Test:
  • If a female candidate tests negative for pregnancy, she may participate in PST/PET.

Medical Standards Tests:

• Conducted only for candidates declared qualified in Physical Efficiency Test.
• Standards specified in Appendix-V will be checked.
• Supervised by a Nodal Authority appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
• Tests conducted at various notified centers after written examination results.

Interview/Personality Test:

• Candidates qualified in Medical Standards Tests called for Interview/ Personality Test by UPSC.
• Candidates declared medically unfit but allowed to appeal will be called provisionally.
• Interview/ Personality Test carries 150 marks.
• Shortlisted candidates issued Detailed Application Form (DAF) to indicate preferences of Forces.

Final Selection/Merit:

• Merit list based on marks obtained in Written Examination and Interview/ Personality Test.

Paper II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension

• Part-A: Essay questions (80 Marks) in Hindi or English
• Part-B: Comprehension, précis writing, other language skills (120 Marks) attempted in English only. Topics include Comprehension passages, précis writing, counter arguments, and language testing.

Steps to Apply : UPSC CAPF AC Notification 2024

• Candidates must apply online using the link https://www.upsconline.nic.in.
• They need to register themselves first at the One-Time Registration (OTR) platform on the Commission’s website before filling out the online application for the examination.
• OTR registration is a one-time process and can be done at any time throughout the year.
• If a candidate is already registered, they can proceed directly to fill out the online application.
• Modification in the OTR profile is allowed only once in a lifetime after registration.
• Changes to the OTR profile data can be made until 7 days after the closure of the application window for the candidate’s first final application for any Commission examination.
• For candidates applying for the first time in this examination, the last date for modification of the OTR profile is 21.05.2024.
• The Commission has provided a window for making corrections in the application form, excluding OTR profile changes, from the day after the closure of the application window for this examination.
• This correction window is open for 7 days from its opening date, from 15.05.2024 to 21.05.2024.
• Any changes to the OTR profile during this period should be made by logging into the OTR platform; changes cannot be made by visiting the application form modification window.
