UPSC Assistant Director Jobs 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Name of the PostEducational Qualification & Experience
Assistant Engineer (Electrical)
  • Degree in Engineering in the disciplines of Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from a recognized university.
  • 2 years practical experience in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control/ Production/ Manufacturing and testing of Engineering equipment including knowledge of various standards and their interpretation.
  • Experience in Computer operation for the purpose of preparation of technical reports, technical briefs, etc.
Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)
  • Degree in Engineering in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.
  • 2 years practical experience in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control/ Production/ Manufacturing and testing of Engineering equipment including knowledge of various standards and their interpretation.
  • Experience in computer operation for the purpose of preparation of technical reports, technical briefs, etc.
Civil Hydrographic Officer
  • Degree in Engineering in Civil or Computer Science or Information Technology or Master Degree in Mathematics or Geography or Geophysics or Computer Applications or Computer Science or Information Technology OR Pass in the final examination of the institution of surveyors in sub-division1(B) Hydrographic surveying.
  • 2 years experience in Nautical Chart Compilation and Digital Cartography. [Experience should be from Government or autonomous organization or statutory body or public sector undertaking or University or recognized research institution]
  • Certificate or diploma in a foreign language. preferably French. At least 1 year of experience in the application of geographical information system technology.
Junior Technical Officer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics and Communication or Marine or Naval Architecture or Industrial Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
  • 3 years working experience in the relevant field of Engineering viz. Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics and Communication or Marine or Naval Architecture or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 1 year experience in Dockyard or Shipyard.
Principal Civil Hydrographic Officer
  • Degree in Engineering in Civil or Computer Science or Information Technology OR Masters Degree in Mathematics or Geography or Geophysics or Computer Applications or Computer Science or Information Technology OR Pass in the final examination of the institution of surveyors in sub-division1(B) Hydrographic surveying.

Assistant Survey Officer
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) or B.Tech degree in Civil or Mining Engineering from a recognized University.
  • 2 years experience in surveying including Total Station, GPS, Theodolite Surveying, traversing, leveling, contouring, Computer Software under registered engineering or surveying establishment, mine and dam.
Stores Officer
  • Degree in Engineering from a recognized University or Institute; or Degree in Science with 2 years experience in Materials Management (procurement, maintenance of scientific and technical stores and equipment and inventory control).
Assistant Director Grade-II (Economic Investigation)
  • Master Degree in Economics from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • 2 year experience in conducting and guiding investigation or surveys and research relating to small-scale industries.
  • Experience in handling economic data pertaining to and knowledge of problems relating to small-scale industries and/or other industries. Basic knowledge of computers application currently used software/packages for offices.
