Assistant Engineer (Municipality)	B.E. in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
TWAD Board  Assistant Engineer (Civil)	B-Tech in Civil Engineering from recognized University
TWAD Board  Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)	B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized  University
CMWSSB  Assistant Engineer (Electrical)	Must possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering
Assistant Engineer (Planning) (Corporation)	Graduation Degree in Planning or Civil Engineering or Architecture
Town Planning Officer Grade II / Assistant Engineer (Planning) (Municipality)	Graduation Degree in Planning or Civil Engineering or Architecture
TWAD Board Junior Engineer	The licentiate in Civil Engineering or licentiate in Sanitary Engineering Diploma or D.C.E. awarded by State Board of Technical Examination and Training, Madras OR Diploma recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu as equivalent thereto for appointment under the said Government.
